Heal Your Story Toolkit
Why we made the Toolkit
We created the Heal Your Story Toolkit to support communities interested in hosting screenings and meaningful discussions.
Peer support groups, recovery centers, homeless shelters, educational institutions, survivor networks, and yoga communities use the toolkit to feel confident in presenting the film to their members, and as a way to dive deeper into the healing processes presented in Is Your Story Making You Sick?
The Heal Your Story Toolkit includes multiple versions of the film, a comprehensive 25-page Screening and Discussion Guide, and licensing for using the film at your organization.
Screening & Discussion Guide
This expansive guide walks organizational leaders through supporting their audience before, during, and after watching the film. It includes bonus information about the participants and exercises seen on screen and gives you everything you need to know to host a successful community screening event. Book and e-book versions included.
A hardcopy DVD and digital download of each version of the film (4 min, 15 min, 90 min) are included with every toolkit.
The Heal Your Story Toolkit grants you license to use the film within your organization for years to come. The film and guide become a permanent part of your library and something you can use to host workshops and movie nights forever! A regular consumer DVD does not give license to use the film in this way.
Using the Heal Your Story Toolkit
Host an hour-long workshop about the power of Story, or break the film up into its 4 clear parts defined in the film and Screening & Discussion guide for a full day or weekend of programming. Utilize bonus tools from experts and clinicians involved in the film to support your audience and create a safe community space, inviting the possibility of healing. From movie nights to educational programming, the Heal Your Story Toolkit is a versatile tool you can use in the best way to fit your audience or organization.
Continuing Education Credit
Contact us to learn more about how the Heal Your Story Toolkit or a screening of the film at your center can qualify to give CE credit to your staff. Our program has been CE certified for numerous events and workshops.

We don’t want anything to come between the healing power of Story and your community. If this feels cost-prohibitive we’re happy to talk about ways other organizations have tapped into their network to get sponsorship from larger organizations and institutions in healthcare.
